Steps to activate your trial license

  1. Download and install SmartPLS 3.2.8 or higher (the key will not work with older versions)
  2. Launch SmartPLS 3
  3. In the initial licensing screen choose this option: "Professional - All Features. Enter License Key"
  4. Enter your license key and hit "Continue"

Trouble Shooting

1. Licensing Dialog does not open

You are maybe running SmartPLS in Student mode already. To open the licensing screen, please launch > INFO > Switch License from the main menu. In case the initial licensing screen does not open after you launched SmartPLS you can open it.

2. Error Message appears: "License has expired"

This usually means that you have already used your free 30-days-trial earlier.

3. Error Message appears: "License is already activated for another computer."

During activation, a hardware key is exchanged. In rare cases there might be a "hardware twin" somewhere in the world that already used the SmartPLS 3 trial. Please open a support ticket in such cases.
